The Golden State Warriors were unable to overcome their injuries in Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. Despite a great effort from superstar point guard Stephen Curry, the Warriors ended up falling by a final score of 123-109. Following the loss, the Warriors are now looking at a 2-1 series deficit.

Steve Kerr has already put Game 3 behind him and is focusing on tying the series in Game 4. He shared an update on both Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant in the post-game press conference.

Obviously, the news about Thompson is great news and was very much expected. Thompson wanted to play in Game 3, but the team doctors and coaching staff decided that resting him was the best option. After all, the series is far from over and the Warriors could not afford to have Thompson injured more.

Durant, on the other hand, is completely up in the air. The update provided by Kerr won't make the fans happy, but it is what it is. His calf injury has become progressing, but returning from that kind of injury is never an easy task.

Kerr and company can only hope and wait. If they are able to get Durant back in this series, they are going to be very difficult to beat. Toronto still hasn't had to face the “death lineup” that the Warriors love to put on the court.

Golden State and Toronto will face each other once again on Friday night at 9 p.m. EST. If the Warriors are unable to come away with a win, they will be put in a very bad spot, having to head to Toronto to stay alive.
