It was a season filled with shuffled lineups and up and down play for the Golden State Warriors. One thing remained consistent throughout: Stephen Curry's ability to carry the team. The Warriors enter the postseason as the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference and have a date lined up with the Los Angeles Lakers in the play-in tournament. The season for Curry has left most in awe, including his head coach, Steve Kerr.

Via Tyler Conway of Bleacher Report, Kerr has never seen Steph do what he's done this year.

“Well, he's never been better, I can say that,” Kerr told reporters. “He's been great for a long time, though, so it's hard to say he's at his best now because he's been like this for years. I think what's different this year is just the supporting cast.” – Steve Kerr.

It may sound crazy on the surface for Kerr to suggest this, given Curry's incredible career and his two MVP seasons, but his point stands.

What Stephen Curry has provided the Warriors, given the lack of stars around him, has made this year all the more impressive for the greatest shooter of all-time.

Curry likely won't win the MVP this year, as it appears Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets has a tight hold on the award. Yet, it's Curry's sensational play and viral moments that have at minimum placed him in the discussion.

The Warriors all-pro capped the regular season by pouring in 46 points in a win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Curry secured the scoring title this year averaging 32.0 PPG. In doing so, he became the oldest player (33 years of age) since Michael Jordan (35 years of age) to win the scoring crown in the NBA.

The road only gets harder for the Warriors as the playoffs are set to get going. But when you have Stephen Curry, you always have a chance. Steve Kerr knows that better than most.
