Before taking on the LA Clippers in Game 5, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr showered the Doc Rivers-led squad with praise, noting that they're ‘well-connected' team ‘on the rise.'

Per Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints, Kerr pointed out the difficulty in closing out a series. He also commended the Clippers squad and foresee a great future in them.

“Closeout games are always difficult, especially against a team like this that is very well connected. They’ve got a really good thing going. You can see it. They’re on the rise.”

The Clippers were able to steal Game 2 at Oracle Arena, thanks to great defense and a clutch effort by Lou Williams — who's poised to win his third Sixth Man of the Year award this year.

The Clippers overperformed this year. With the absence of all-star type caliber players, no one expected them to win as many games as they did. No one even believed they would qualify for the playoffs. Not only did they manage to sneak into the eighth and final spot, but they also sneaked in a victory over the Warriors — a top favorite in winning the championship and completing the three-peat.

Given these facts, the Clippers certainly have a bright future ahead of them. In the offseason, we should expect them to make big moves to bolster their line up. And in the process, we may see a contender team rising in LA.
