The Golden State Warriors are locked in to the play-in tournament regardless of what happens in their last couple of games. Steve Kerr's squad will enter the play-in tournament needing to secure at least one win, potentially two. What decides that will be the seed the Warriors finish with in the Western Conference. Steve Kerr was asked about the play-in tournament and had a hilarious response.

Appearing on 95.7 The Game's “Damon, Ratto and Kolsky,” Kerr said the following about the Warriors being in the play-in tournament.

“I love it,” Kerr told 95.7 The Game's “Damon, Ratto and Kolsky” about the play-in tournament on Thursday. “The last month’s been infinitely more interesting for NBA fans. It’s great. If you finish 7th and you lose two straight, then you probably weren’t good enough to advance in the playoffs anyway. That’s just the truth.”

The logic in that statement tends to make sense. If you can't beat a couple of the teams just trying to sneak in to the postseason, how is it reasonable to expect to beat one of the top seeds in your conference? Kerr's thoughts certainly differ from others that have been expressed throughout the season.

It was just back in March that Kerr joked with reporters about the play-in tournament when it was brought up as a likely outcome for the Warriors.

“If we're ninth or 10th [in the Western Conference], I would love it,” Kerr joked with reporters about the Warriors being in the play-in tournament March. “If we're seventh or eighth, I think it's total bullcrap.”

With the Warriors locked in to the play-in tournament, the only thing left to decide is who they will play and what seed they will get. With Stephen Curry shooting the lights out all year long, Golden State will be a dangerous opponent for any team they face.
