Golden State Warriors guard Shaun Livingston has been fighting through injuries and a breaking down body throughout the season, and has grown visibly frustrated with his situation.

In their Game 6 victory over the Houston Rockets, however, Livingston went back into the vault and came through for the defending champions in a time they needed him most. After Livingston's performance in Game 6, Kerr had nothing but praises for how the 33-year old guard fought through his frustrating season.

“Just a champion,” Kerr said of Livingston, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic. “A winner. The body just doesn’t respond anymore and it gets tougher and tougher. I’ve been there. But a guy like Shaun, Andre (Iguodala), to put in the amount of work they do to prepare for each game and then to come through in these situations, it’s remarkable.”

Livingston's role with the team has dwindled over the course of his 5-year run with Golden State. Part of it has to do with the addition of Kevin Durant, who missed Game 6 with a calf strain, and part of is also due to his aging body.

Nevertheless, Livingston, who has contemplated retirement at the end of the season, is the ultimate professional. Despite dealing with injuries and a more often aching body for the entire season – he played just 64 games this season, the least he's had over his time with the Warriors – Livingston continues to put in the work to stay in tip-top shape.

Staying ready surely paid off for the 15-year veteran in Golden State's Game 6 series-clinching win on Friday, scoring 11 points in 14 massive minutes. He looked like his vintage pry self and provided the Warriors with a strong scoring spark off the bench.
