Steve Kerr's health has been a concern for the Golden State Warriors over the past few years, but he's feeling as good as he has in some time. Kerr's back issues have held him out of important playoff games in the past, but the Golden State head coach has some pep in his step this season, which his players are noticing:

“All that stuff — just the way he looks,” veteran guard Shaun Livingston told Tim Kawakami of The Athletic. “He looks just more normal. Doesn’t look as pale and stressed and all those things that come with it.”

Livingston isn't the only one in the Warriors organization noticing an improvement in Kerr's physical condition. Nick U'Ren is currently Golden State's director of basketball operations and is also noticing it. U'Ren served as special assistant to Kerr during the 2016-17 season, so he knows exactly what Kerr was like when he was dealing with his back issues:

“Just laughter, stories and (the absence of) some of the physical pain that you could see — you know, rubbing his eyes, rubbing his temples,” said U’Ren. “I think he’s doing better in that regard, just in terms of endurance and a little bit more laughter and joy. Levity.”

This is excellent news for Golden State. The team is off to a rocky start to the season and don't quite look like the dominant force we've grown accustomed to seeing. Of course, this is all relative because the Warriors are just a half-game out of first place in the Western Conference. That being said, the Warriors are better off with Kerr fully healthy on the sidelines.
