Besides Kawhi Leonard, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is wary of another Toronto Raptors player ahead of the NBA Finals: Fred VanVleet.

VanVleet has been red-hot for the Raptors since the birth of his son, and he is undoubtedly one of the key factors in their four-game winning streak against the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals. In their last three games versus Milwaukee — with Game 3 coinciding with the borth of Fred Jr. — VanVleet has averaged 16 points per game on 68 percent shooting.

Before the hot streak, the backup guard was just averaging four points a game on 26 percent shooting.

Kerr knows the story very well, and so he jokingly wished that VanVleet won't have another baby during the NBA Finals.

“[Fred] VanVleet just completely turned things around for himself by having a baby, apparently,” Kerr said, via Doug Smith of The Star. “So hopefully he doesn't have any more children during The Finals.”

Of course, in addition to the surging VanFleet, the Warriors will still need to find a way to contain Leonard who has been nearly unstoppable throughout the postseason. Kerr will no doubt have his team ready as this has become a trend for the Dubs, a franchise looking to secure a fourth title in the last five seasons.

On the other hand, the Raptors are currently gearing up for the team's first-ever trip to the NBA Finals.

It is also worth noting, though, that the Leonard has already captured an NBA title of his own, which came during his time as a member of the heralded San Antonio Spurs. Leonard helped the Spurs defeat LeBron James and the Miami Heat back in 2013-2014.
