Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant had the most efficient night of his NBA career on Wednesday, connecting on 12 of his 13 shot attempts en route to a 28-point night against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Head coach Steve Kerr was impressed with the quality of shots that were dropping for the former MVP, given that most of them came from on jumpers:

“It's kind of crazy when you think about how many jump shots he's made,” said Kerr. “Seventeen out of 19 for the last two games … that's Kareem, that's Shaq … It's kind of amazing, the touch and skill set. What's most impressive to me is the spacing he's able to create for his shot. It's something that comes from guards, ball-handling, quickness, side-to-side action.

“It never gets old watching him create an easy jump shot for himself. That's who he is and it's beautiful to watch.”

Kerr recently had equally endearing words of admiration for Durant, who rebounded from a subpar 9-of-25 shooting night against the Dallas Mavericks to go 5-of-6 the next night, now a combined 17-of-19 (89.5 percent) from the field in his last two games:

“The game's easy for Kevin,” Steve Kerr said after a Warriors 118-103 win over the Grizzlies. “It just is. I don't think there's ever been anybody as skilled at his size in the history of the league, so he just does whatever he wants.”

Durant is having an uncanny replica of the 2017-18 season in terms of shooting numbers, as none of his stats besides 3-point percentage or blocks per game has varied by more than 0.4 this season.

The back-to-back Finals MVP is averaging 26.8 points on 51.6 percent from the floor, 35.1 percent from deep and 88.5 percent from the foul line.
