Like a true coaching elite, Steve Kerr knows the trend from opponents and uses it to the Golden State Warriors' advantage. That holds true even outside the court, albeit in jest, as evidenced by Kerr's subtle shot at Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James' infamous line to the media to cap his postgame commitment back in Game 1.

A couple of days ago, James, still disappointed over the lost opportunity in regulation of the series opener, left the media room with a parting shot intended to a reporter who asked him about teammate J.R. Smith.

That hasn't left the mind of Kerr and the fun-spirited coach pulled off a similar stunt but leaving a much more positive vibe.

Not only were the reporters much better tonight, but also the Warriors — to the Cavs' chagrin.

Right from the get-go, Golden State jumped on Cleveland and never looked back. While the Cavs kept the game at hand at some points, the Warriors never relinquished the lead and they eventually made a big enough sepearation late in the fourth quarter for everyone to call “game.”

James had a subpar outing — based on his ridiculous standards — by tallying 29 points, nine rebounds, and 13 assists. He had an ample amount of support coming from Kevin Love who had 22 points and 10 rebounds plus George Hill who tallied 15 points with three 3-pointers. The help was present for James but there was no stopping the Warriors who had Stephen Curry reaching historic heights on his way to 33 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, and a new single-game NBA Finals record of nine 3-pointers.

By the looks of it, James' “be better tomorrow” line should be directed at the entire Cavs team if they want to avoid being embarrassed for the second-straight year in the biggest stage.
