Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr opened up about his difficulties of completing the three-peat, noting that the journey gets tougher the longer it goes.

Per 95.7 The Game, Kerr briefly recounted his days as a player for the Chicago Bulls where they completed the three-peat from 1995 to 1998, noting that the third year was a lot more difficult that the first.

Every single team is devising on ways on how to beat you. In addition, he said that what their championship run two years ago looked easy (they only had one loss) but it certainly wasn't.

“I think any coach in NBA history would agree with that. I felt that as a player with Chicago. The third year was a lot tougher than the first year. It's just the way it is. You got teams coming after you, you got everybody planning for you. Two years ago our playoff run was pretty smooth. Last year, obviously we had a seven-game series with these guys (Houston Rockets). It's never easy. Two years ago it may have seemed easy. I wouldn't characterize that way.”

Perhaps this is the reason why analysts deemed that Warriors didn't look as strong as before. Compared to two years ago, they looked beatable in the regular season and now in the playoffs.

Can Kerr and his team complete the three-peat?

Or will the Rockets finally oust their rivals?
