Ahead of their duel against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr shared the status of rookie big man James Wiseman, who's been out due to the NBA's COVID-19 protocols.

According to Kerr, Wiseman, as well as reserve forward Eric Paschall could suit up tomorrow against the Sixers. This, however, would depend on their COVID-19 test results. Kerr on Monday noted that apart from the tests, he needs to know the physical level of both Wiseman and Paschall since they haven't played a game since March 15 (via Alex Espinoza of NBC Sports).

“Eric and James could possibly play tomorrow. They were not allowed to practice today. We’re hopeful that everything goes well with their testing, which it has been. But they have to complete another couple of tests. If they do, there’s a good chance they’ll be in there tomorrow night.”

The depleted Warriors badly need all the firepower they can get with Stephen Curry already sidelined due to a tailbone injury.

If Wiseman and/or Paschall are not able to play, Kerr will likely heavily rely on veteran Kevon Looney in the frontcourt after he recently cleared the NBA's COVID-19 protocols. Alen Smailagic might get some playing time as well, although this isn't exactly ideal given his poor performance against the Memphis Grizzlies last Saturday in his first NBA start.

Fortunately for the Warriors, Joel Embiid will still be out for the Sixers due to a knee injury. But they are not on top of the Eastern Conference for no reason. With or without James Wiseman, Steve Kerr should devise a grand strategy to lead the Warriors to victory.
