Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr says center DeMarcus Cousins looked good in Friday's scrimmage.

Cousins continues to make good progress in his recovery from a torn left quad, which he suffered in Game 2 of the first round against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The NBA Finals begin on May 30. Cousins could make his return to the Warriors lineup before Kevin Durant (right calf strain) does.

Cousins averaged 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game during the regular season while shooting 48.0 percent from the floor, 27.4 percent beyond the arc and 73.6 percent from the free-throw line.

If Cousins can return in the Finals and play at a high level, it could boost his free agency value for the summer. Cousins becomes an unrestricted free agent and is looking to get a pay raise from the $5,337,000 he's making this season. The Warriors, however, might be able to re-sign Cousins for cheap since he's coming off another injury.

The Toronto Raptors or Milwaukee Bucks will face the Dubs in the Finals. It would be cool to see Cousins win an NBA championship considering what he's been through in the past year. The Achilles tear and quad injury were tough ailments to overcome.
