The Golden State Warriors have the luxury of having Draymond Green on their team. A versatile piece on a roster full of scorers, Green acts as the team’s conduit on both offense and defense, able to plug the gaps and serve any needs that arise on any given moment in a game.

At times, though, Green’s temper get the best of him, which is one of the very few negative things one could say about the former Michigan State Spartans standout.

That being said, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is not one to overlook the fact that Green has been managing his emotions in these playoffs relatively well.

From Melissa Rohn of the Bay Area News Group:

Steve Kerr on Draymond Green: “I don't think he has any technicals yet through seven games of the playoffs. That's one of the great stats of this year's playoffs. But I think he's matured. He learned from 2016.”

In the 2016 NBA Finals, the Warriors infamously blew a 3-1 series lead to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Led by LeBron James, the Cavs clawed their way back from what was then a seemingly insurmountable situation to bring home the franchise's first-ever NBA title. The Warriors had a chance to win that series in Game 5, but Green got suspended for that game after accumulating enough technical fouls to warrant the said punishment.

Green had five technical fouls in the 2016 playoffs. He reduced that to four in 2017. Steve Kerr also is right on the money on his count of Draymond Green technical fouls, as the reigning Defensive Player of the Year still has not been whistled for one in this postseason.
