The Golden State Warriors (52-16) have become a victim of quite a serious injury bug as of late. Star shooting guard Klay Thompson is just another casualty due to his fractured right thumb.

However, head coach Steve Kerr joked about what Thompson is going to do in his time off to recover, saying that the dog-loving guard is going to bond with his bulldog Rocco, per Logan Murdock of the Mercury News.

“He and Rocko are about to get even closer,” coach Kerr said earlier today.

Thompson has quite an adorable relationship with Rocco, as he even got a birthday cake last month that looked exactly like his beloved bulldog.

Unfortunately for the Warriors star shooting guard, he could miss up to two weeks with his fractured right thumb and will be re-evaluated next Thursday. The Warriors continue to deal with a myriad of injuries, as superstar point guard Stephen Curry (sprained right ankle), star power forward Draymond Green (sore shoulder), power forward David West (right arm cyst), and shooting guard Patrick McCaw (fractured wrist) also missed Wednesday night's 117-106 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Despite being inactive, Klay still managed to keep busy and actually joined his father, former Lakers great Mychal Thompson, in Los Angeles' radio broadcast booth.

As an NBA All-Star guard for the fourth year in a row, Thompson is currently averaging 19.7 points on 45.8 percent shooting from the field, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game this season in 66 starts for the Warriors.
