Steve Kerr recently made a claim that at this point, he already feels as though his Golden State Warriors are already on offseason mode.

Former NBA champ Richard Jefferson weighed in on this matter and took a not-so-veiled shot at Kerr and the Dubs following the coach's comments.

“The funny thing about Steve Kerr saying that they are operating as if their season was over, is that this interview was actually done in November. Soooooo,” Jefferson said before laughing during a recent appearance on ESPN's “The Jump”, via Drew Shiller oF NBC Sports. “Understandably, he's talking about the injuries to everyone on their team and what they've been through.

“But yes, their season was over in November. I don't view them as a team to really judge this on.”

Jefferson fired some shots right there, and they were definitely a direct hit. We are all well aware of the Warriors' woes this season — probably one of their worst campaigns in franchise history — and Jefferson made sure to point this out. In his mind, the season was way over for Golden State even before the league was suspended in March. Honestly, even Dubs fans would probably agree.

Coach Kerr is a pretty good sport, and we're pretty sure he's going to take this in stride. After all, he knows that his team will be full strength next season, and there is little doubt, if any, that the Warriors will be looking to exact some much-needed revenge next term. We'd also like to hear what Jefferson will have to say by then.
