After a disappointing loss to the Utah Jazz Saturday night, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is ready to make changes. The team heads into Monday's matchup at 8-8 and desperately need a win to switch momentum.

The Warriors do believe in their rookie center James Wiseman. But as of right now, Coach Kerr wants to try him out in more of a bench role. He made it clear that the rookie big man will get ample minutes on Monday, but Kevon Looney will get the start.

Looney has played in all 16 games this season for the Warriors and has been an important factor on the defensive end. Whenever he checks into the game, he always seeks to be an enforcer in the paint and force teams to low quality shots. Coach Kerr is noticing the effort that Looney has brought this season, which is a big reason for his insertion in the starting lineup.

He is already familiar with the way Stephen Curry and Draymond Green play on the floor and they will look to keep him involved on both ends. With Draymond Green’s passing ability, it will certainly allow Looney to have great looks under the basket for high percentage shots.

This will be Looney’s first start since last season. As the Warriors look to get back on the right track, Looney will need to make sure to continue his high level of play. As for Wiseman, he will be looking to make the most of his minutes against the Timberwolves.
