Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr isn't exactly sure when star center DeMarcus Cousins will make his season debut for the team.

Cousins is expected to make his return at some point in the near future, but the specific timetable is not yet known. He continues to rehab his Achilles injury, which has kept him out of action since late January.

However, Kerr seems optimistic about what Cousins has been able to do on the court during his recovery process, even if his actual return date is still undecided at this point.

Here's what Kerr had to say about Cousins' conditioning and eventual return, courtesy of video from Warriors beat writer Monte Poole:

“The last couple of weeks have been very good. But again, it's a really serious injury he's dealing with. It's difficult for anybody to come back from, particularly a big man. He wants to be very confident when he's out there for the first time, so wherever that takes us is what we'll do.

Golden State would undoubtedly love to get a player of Cousins' caliber in the lineup, as it would add even more playmaking ability in what's already a loaded starting five.

The Warriors will return to the court on Monday to take on the Memphis Grizzlies.
