Golden State Warriors All-Star Stephen Curry has been sidelined due to a hand injury. Some thought the former Davidson standout would be out for the remainder of this season, but head coach Steve Kerr recently hinted that his star point guard might be able to return in March.

Via NBC Sports Bay Area:

“His injury is not nearly as serious as Klay's because we're dealing with a hand and not a knee,” Kerr said on the “Posted Up” podcast with Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes. “We'll re-evaluate Steph sometime in February, but I think there's an excellent chance he comes back sometime in March — late in the season.”

This is obviously great news for the Warriors, who have struggled to find a rhythm this season. Golden State is currently holding a 9-30 overall record, which is one of the worst marks in the NBA.

As Kerr noted, the Warriors will look to re-evaluate Curry's injury sometime in February. Still the team will take a cautious approach to his return.

According to a report from Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Curry took part in some shooting drills with Steve Nash and Bruce Fraser following Tuesday's practice session. This is a good sign, as the Warriors star was previously unable to use his left hand to shoot:

The Warriors will be back in action on Friday night, when they'll face off against the Los Angeles Clippers. Tip-off inside Staples Center is set for 10:30 p.m. ET.
