Quinn Cook has blossomed into what the Golden State Warriors envisioned him to be as the last two-way player to be signed by the team. During his stint as a starter in the midst of Stephen Curry's absence due to a right ankle injury, the Duke product has been fantastic in his last three games, averaging 22 points per game.

Yet head coach Steve Kerr has a huge decision in his hands, to decide whether or not Cook will warrant a spot in the playoff roster.

“What's today's date?, asked Kerr, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

“March 19th,” replied a reporter.

“Ask me again in three weeks,” replied Kerr.

The deadline to name the rosters is April 10, but the Warriors seem to have found themselves another Ian Clark, as Cook has shot 5-of-7 from deep in his last two outings as a starter, putting up 25 and 28 points, respectively, after playing 40 minutes in each of the games.

Cook can play at both guard spots, even if he is undersized for either spot at a mere 6-foot-2 and 179 pounds.

The Warriors will get their hybrid guard/forward Patrick McCaw back tonight against the struggling San Antonio Spurs — another player that could warrant a playoff opportunity thanks to his familiarity with the system.

The battle for this chance could very well be between these two players, as the Warriors will need hot shooting to navigate a much more competitive Western Conference throughout the rest of the season and the ensuing postseason.
