The Golden State Warriors are bound to rest players down the stretch, with still four games to go starting with Friday's back end of their first back-to-back, quickly moving on from a coast-to-coast 108-90 win over the Los Angeles Lakers to face the Cleveland Cavaliers at home. Head coach Steve Kerr does have a night of rest planned for each of his starters, but he is hoping to lock down home court first.

“We’re not quite home yet,” said Kerr after a rousing win that saw his starters rest the entire fourth quarter with a 28-point lead entering the frame. “We gotta win a couple more or have Denver lose one game or whatever it is. We'll figure that out. It’d be nice for them not to play in that back-to-back, but we gotta get there first.”

DeMarcus Cousins (load management) and Andre Iguodala (toe soreness) are already slated to miss tonight's game against the Cavs.

Kerr is taking a diligent approach, much different from last year when the Warriors did not chase the Houston Rockets for the top seed and rather settled comfortably for the second.

The home court disadvantage nearly costed them in the Western Conference Finals, something Kerr and his staff are hoping not to worry about until the NBA Finals.

Golden State has the third overall best record in the league, and save for the Milwaukee Bucks or the Toronto Raptors meeting them at the grand stage, they should be able to keep their home court advantage throughout.
