Even without the services of superstar point guard Steph Curry, the Golden State Warriors (26-6) continue to win games.

With the Warriors currently in the middle of an 11-game winning streak, head coach Steve Kerr and his squad have gone 7-0 in Curry's absence with a severely sprained right ankle.

According to Chris Biderman of USA TODAY Sports, Kerr was asked after the team's 113-106 win over the Los Angeles Lakers if there was any chance Curry would play on Christmas Day against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Kerr said that nothing has been finalized quite yet, but he feels it is smart for the team to just play it safe.

“I would be shocked,” Kerr said. “We haven’t made that determination. We haven’t even discussed it.”

Even though Curry is continuing to heal and is pretty close to a return, the Warriors are playing it safe regarding their Christmas Day game against the Cavs.

“He is moving better and better,” Kerr said. “He will probably do more court work Sunday. In my mind, even if he said he felt great, it would be irresponsible to play him. As much as everybody wants to see him, as much as I want to see him on the floor, we have to be smart with this. 99.999 percent that he’s out.”

In 23 starts this year for the Warriors, Curry is the team's second-leading scorer with 26.3 points per game and is also averaging a team-high 6.6 assists per game.
