No one would fault Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr if he put his team on blast after their late-game meltdown against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday. But surprisingly, the multi-titled tactician still chose to look on the bright side following that disappointing two-point defeat after a game-winning shot from Terry Rozier.

“Guys played their asses off. I love coaching this team. I enjoy working with them. They compete. But we've gotta get better. We've gotta learn how to close games. Our execution has to improve,” Kerr said of the Dubs' effort after the stinging 102-100 loss, per The Athletic's Anthony Slater.

Even without their superstar Stephen Curry who missed the game due to an illness, the Warriors were in a good position late in the game to escape with the road win. If only Draymond Green kept his cool, there's a high chance they were the ones on the win column after the game.

Golden State was up two points with less than 10 seconds remaining in the game when Green foolishly spewed venom towards the officials. Despite getting repeatedly held back by his teammates, the three-time NBA champion continued his verbal assault and got tossed out for two completely avoidable technical fouls.

The Hornets took full advantage and tied the game with the technical free throws. Here's the crazy last-second sequence that led to Terry Rozier's buzzer-beating heroics that gave the Warriors its second consecutive loss.

Even Steve Kerr was pretty riled up following Rozier's buzzer-beater as he was seen kicking the ball in frustration afterward. But looks like he regained his bearings post-game and elected not to make his team feel any worse than they already did.
