Several Summer League coaches are confused as to why Damion Lee of the Golden State Warriors is still signed to a two-way contract. They believe that the guard has proven that he rightfully belongs in the NBA.

Per Ethan Strauss of The Athletic, the coaches believe that his shooting ability and good character are his main assets.

Lee entered the NBA as an undrafted prospect in 2016. In the G League, he played for the Maine Red Claws and the Santa Cruz Warriors. He also suited up for the Atlanta Hawks in the 2017-18 season.

Last season, he played 32 games for the Warriors on a two-way contract, averaging 4.9 points while converting 39.7 percent of his 3-pointers. His best game was a win over the New Orleans Pelicans on April 10 where he dropped 20 points on 53.8 shooting from the field, 57.1 percent from deep in 27 minutes of play.

This year, the 25-year-old is expected to add some depth to the Warriors roster. Fans may see more of him while Klay Thompson remains sidelined due to his ACL injury.

Under a two-way contract, Lee will spend more time in the G League. If Steve Kerr and crew needs him, then they'll call him up.

Lee is actually the brother-in-law of two-time MVP Stephen Curry. Lee is the husband to Sydel Curry.
