The Golden State Warriors have been scuffling a bit of late, but they got right in a big way against the Phoenix Suns on Monday night. The Warriors cruised to a 132-109 win, their largest margin of victory since a 24-point victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Dec. 5.

After the dust settled, Suns coach Igor Kokoskov noted just how difficult it is to play the defending champions when they have it going:

“There's such a low margin for error when you play the champs,” Suns coach Igor Kokoskov said, per The Associated Press.

Golden State shot 54.8 percent from the field and hit 14 3-pointers in a dominant offensive performance. Stephen Curry led the way with 34 points on 11-of-17 shooting overall and five 3-pointers, while Kevin Durant chipped in 25 points on 8-of-14 shooting.

The Warriors moved to 25-13 on the season thanks to their second consecutive victory. For all of the issues plaguing the champs this season, Golden State still sits in second in the Western Conference, percentage points behind the top-seeded Denver Nuggets. If the Dubs ever find a consistent groove again, they could run away with the No. 1 seed.

Meanwhile, the lowly Suns have lost three games in a row after going 5-2 over their previous seven games. Phoenix sits at 9-29, the second-worst record in the NBA.
