Fake Klay Thompson made headlines on Monday right before Game 5 of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics after he revealed that he was slapped with a lifetime ban from the Chase Center. Apparently, Thompson's impersonator–a YouTube star that goes by the name Daws–was able to infiltrate security at the arena on Monday night. Once security found out, though, they acted swiftly.

A now-viral TikTok clip about the incident is making its rounds on social media. Apparently, Fake Klay was able to get past no less than five layers of security to make it all the way to the Warriors court (h/t Bleacher Report on Twitter):

Fake Klay even live-tweeted the events as it went down. At first, the impersonator of the Warriors star appeared to be in an understandably foul mood after he was advised about his lifetime ban:

Fake Klay even tried to justify his actions by explaining that he never forced entry, and that he never lied about his identity:

After some time, though, Fake Klay seemed to have calmed down. Apparently, he did not want to make a big deal out of the incident. He also says that he has no ill will against the Warriors or the Chase Center security team for their decision:

What a fascinating story this has been. The best part is that he hasn't even uploaded his full video on YouTube — as of writing at least. That should make for some epic Warriors content.
