By this time, it's almost undeniable that Golden State Warriors superstar Klay Thompson is one of the best shooters in NBA history. But it's not just his shooting that has put Thompson to where he is right now. Toughness has been part of his resume ever since he entered the NBA in 2011, and now that he's sitting out his second straight season due to injury, his character once again has been put to the test.

In a story by NBC Sports, Zaza Pachulia, a key member of the Warriors' 2017 and 2018 championship squads, revealed how tough Thompson really is.

“Some people are just built that way. They’re just strong, tough. That’s what Klay is. God gave him a naturally good body.”

Pachulia, who now works for the Warriors' front office, continues to observe the five-time All-Star up close and the grit of the 30-year-old Thompson is simply uncanny.

“Some players would lay there for a minute and shake it off, make it a little bit dramatic. Klay never did that. He’d fall, it looked nasty but, guess what? He’d get up right away and continue to play basketball. He’s got that type of mentality.”

Thompson last suited up for the Warriors in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors where he suffered a torn left ACL. After recovering from surgery, he was poised for a return this season before rupturing his right Achilles tendon during a workout.

But if Pachulia is right, everything's just a minor setback for Klay Thompson's major comeback.
