Every NBA fan knows the legend of “Game 6 Klay,” and after watching the Golden State Warriors star play in Game 5, Trae Young thinks the legend will continue.

Klay Thompson was pivotal for the Warriors in Game 5 as they took the 3-2 lead in the series. The other half of the Splash Bros. banked 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting (5-of-11 from deep) to help the team win, 104-94, despite Stephen Curry struggling and failing to make even one triple.

For Young, however, it looked like Thompson was just warming up in the contest to prepare what would be another explosive performance in Game 6. In fact, the Atlanta Hawks guard said he feels Klay is going to put up 50 points come Thursday.

Now that is certainly something the Warriors would want to see. After all, they want to close things out in Game 6, and what better way to end it than Klay Thompson adding another chapter to the already historic “Game 6 Klay”?

Of course that is easier said than done, especially against a Celtics team that boasts incredible defense. Given that their backs are against the wall and facing elimination, Boston are expected to take things up a notch to force Game 7 against the Warriors.

If there is anything everyone has learned watching Klay, though, he just seems to live for the big moments like Game 6 when the Dubs need a win.
