NBA fans correctly predicting where an incoming hot shot free agent would land in the offseason isn't exactly unique or impressive. It's very easy to make an educated guess given what little information we have.

But what if someone was able to predict not one, but two outrageous big moves a few years before it actually happened? That's a lot more uncanny, right?

That's exactly what Twitter user Nistradamus did via a tweet he posted on February 3, 2016 in which he was right on the money in saying that Kevin Durant and DeMarcus Cousins were moving to the Golden State Warriors, and gave an exact timeline.

That Twitter handle couldn't be more apt.

Sure, there was already a lead that Durant would be heading to the Warriors shortly before he made that tweet (courtesy of Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski who is rarely wrong) so it's a lot less shocking, but the “Boogie” bomb is definitely the most surprising.

To call it that early had very little logic considering that the then-Sacramento Kings franchise player was still 25 years old at the time and still in his prime. The notion of Cousins actually being traded was even preposterous. A deal with the New Orleans Pelicans would have been far-fetched to predict or even a horrifying injury that torpedoed his market value. Nonetheless, it's a great prophetic tweet that's truly worth bragging about.

One prediction that may be less amazing, though? The Warriors hoisting the 2019 Larry O'Brien. It's a foregone conclusion that any outcome otherwise would be the shocker.
