Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green unboxed a couple of pair of kicks in a recent feature on Bleacher Report Kicks. Green had some pretty fresh kicks to add to his ever-growing collection, but one of the things that stood out in the interview was how Green discussed his learning experience from Kobe Bryant's final season in the league.

Green kicked off the feature by showing off a pair of Kobe's that were signed by none other than the late, great Los Angeles Lakers legend himself. This led to the Warriors vet talking about how much of an impact Bryant had on his career:

As Draymond Green emotionally discussed in the above interview, Kobe Bryant served as a pillar for him during one of the darkest moments of his career. The league suspended the Warriors star  for Game 5 of the 2016 NBA Finals which resulted from a scuffle with LeBron James, then with the Cleveland Cavaliers, during the previous game. Green felt like the NBA was not letting him be who he really was, and he turned to Kobe for advice.

Being the man that he is, Bryant provided Green with the motivation he needed to get through that trying time. As it turns out, Kobe's inspirational words stuck with Green and the Warriors forward  continues to carry them to this very day.

This is just another example of how the great Kobe had and continues to have such a significant impact on today's game. Rest in peace, legend.
