Zaza Pachulia will rejoin the Golden State Warriors as a consultant, the team announced in a press release.

Pachulia was a member of the Warriors' 2017 and 2018 championship teams. He's joining Golden State as a consultant on both the business and basketball side:

Zaza Pachulia played for the Detroit Pistons last season. He averaged 3.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 68 games. The 35-year-old finishes his NBA career with averages of 6.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 1,098 games with the Orlando Magic, Milwaukee Bucks, Atlanta Hawks, Warriors and Pistons.

The Warriors are embarking on a new chapter of their franchise next season. Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala and Shawn Livingston are gone, and Klay Thompson will miss a big chunk of the season recovering from his left ACL tear.

The Dubs were able to acquire All-Star point guard D'Angelo Russell from the Nets in the KD sign-and-trade deal, so they will have three All-Stars in the starting lineup in Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Russell.

In a loaded Western Conference, the Warriors — for the first time in years — aren't the favorite to win the conference. However, we can expect Curry, Green and Russell to be motivated to prove the critics wrong. Plus, no team is going to want to face the Warriors come playoff time if Thompson is back.
