Zaza Pachulia is now embarking on his new career as a consultant for the Golden State Warriors. On his first day on the job, he quickly surmised that the Dubs' crop of young players has a great opportunity to prove themselves.

After losing Kevin Durant to free agency and Klay Thompson to an ACL injury, critics were quick to conclude that the Warriors' reign is over. But Pachulia believes otherwise. The 35-year-old Georgian believes that the Warriors coaching staff will effectively utilize the team's youngsters.

“I was taking a tour around the Chase Center the other day and went to the locker room and there are a lot of younger guys … and a perfect opportunity for them to prove … to show themselves,” Pachulia said, per Logan Murdock of NBC Sports. “It's going to be an interesting year. They have a great coaching staff — one of the best in the business — and I'm sure coach [Steve] Kerr will use those players in the right way.”

Their biggest acquisition in the summer was All-Star guard D'Angelo Russell. But they also added 26-year-old Willie Cauley-Stein, rookies Alen Smailagić and Jordan Poole, 25-year-old Glen Robinson III, among others.

Head coach Steve Kerr earlier noted that they will be focused on the development of their young guns. As such, Warriors fans should expect Kerr to field their new acquisitions more often than not. And as Pachulia said, they need to show up and seize the opportunity given to them.
