The Golden State Warriors appear to be not done winning. After taking home the 2016-17 NBA title at the expense of the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Warriors have a shot at grabbing some more accolades this offseason, as the team is nominated in the Best Team category of the 2017 ESPY Awards, which is set to take place on July 12th.

Unlike most other major awarding events, the winner for each of the categories in the ESPY's are not determined by a panel of judges but rather by fan voting with ESPN dedicating a few pages on their website for the polls.

The Warriors' championship run last season was one of the most dominant in pro sports, as they only lost one game in the playoffs after going 67-15 in the regular season. The title was a redemption for the Warriors, who a year ago, lost to LeBron James and company in the NBA Finals in which Golden State infamously squandered a 3-1 series lead.

But with the addition of Kevin Durant to the team in the offseason following that debacle and the continued excellence of holdover stars in Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, the Warriors reclaimed their spot atop the NBA last June.

Aside from the Best Team award, the Warriors could also see Durant bag additional trophies, as he is also nominated for the Best NBA Player and for the Best Championship Performance awards. James, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, and Russell Westbrook are the others vying for the recognition.
