Andre Iguodala will be returning to the Bay Area as an opponent on Monday night, and according to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, the Golden State Warriors are planning a tribute video to welcome him back.

The Warriors traded Iguodala to the Memphis Grizzlies in a salary dump this past summer.

Iguodala had spent the previous six seasons in Golden State after joining the Dubs via sign-and-trade with the Denver Nuggets during the summer of 2013.

During his run with the Warriors, Iguodala played a significant role in the club winning three championships and reaching the NBA Finals five straight times, even taking home Finals MVP honors in 2015.

However, with Golden State losing Kevin Durant this past summer, the Dubs had to clear some salary in order to get D'Angelo Russell back from the Brooklyn Nets, and Iguodala was a victim.

He did not play a single game for the Grizzlies this year, as he sat out with the expectation that Memphis would eventually trade him.

That ultimately did end up occurring, as the Grizzlies sent him to the Miami Heat in a multi-player trade that was also headlined by Justise Winslow heading to Memphis.

Iguodala made his Heat debut on Sunday night, playing 23 minutes and finishing with two points, six rebounds and three assists in a loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

The 36-year-old, who played his collegiate basketball at the University of Arizona, was originally selected by the Philadelphia 76ers with the ninth overall pick of the 2004 NBA Draft.

He spent the first eight seasons of his career with the 76ers, making one All-Star appearance.
