Go back to the past five years in Golden State history and you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone with a bigger handprint on this team than Bob Myers.

The longtime player-agent took a job with the Warriors in 2011 and helped change a team that was fighting its way from the cellar of the Western Conference and turned it into an NBA champion.

After five years as general manager of the team, he's been promoted to President of Basketball Operations, according to Connor LeTourneau of SFGate.

Myers will handle both duties as a GM and PBO this season as well as the expectations that come after a record-breaking 73-9 season and the blockbuster acquisition of Kevin Durant.

The new obligations will surely present a harder task for Myers, but will also allow him to make decisions more freely without having to feel the temperature of the room.

His relationships with players has always been one of his best traits and that allows him to have a comfortable work environment.

Travis Schlenk (Vice President of Basketball Operations/Assistant General Manager) Kirk Lacob (Vice President of GSW Sports Ventures/Assistant General Manager) and Larry Harris (Assistant General Manager/Director of Player Personnel) were also named to new roles with the team.
