Despite a rather unceremonious exit from the Golden State Warriors last summer, veteran swingman Andre Iguodala is reportedly still interested in a reunion with his former squad. This same report suggests that there is also some mutual interest coming from the Warriors camp.

For now, the Warriors are only curious spectators. Iguodala can’t rejoin them this season and wouldn’t, anyway. There’s no title to be won. But mutual interest remains in a reunion this summer.

Slater also reports that Iguodala still resides in San Francisco and remains close with members of the Warriors, and this might play into a possible return to Golden State in the offseason.

Iguodala has yet to play this entire season and mutually agreed with the Memphis Grizzlies to remain away from the team. The Grizzlies are trying to find a trade for the veteran swingman and would love to acquire a first-round pick, but nothing has come to fruition as of yet. The Dallas Mavericks have been mentioned as a possible trade suitor.

If Iguodala winds up getting bought out at some point, most view the Los Angeles Lakers or LA Clippers as his next destination so he can compete for another championship.

Andre Iguodala first joined the Warriors in 2013 and won three NBA titles with the squad before his trade. He earned Finals MVP honors in the 2014-15 season.
