The Golden State Warriors have long been linked to a potential Ben Simmons deal. However, not everyone in the front office is reportedly on board.

Ben Simmons has given his ultimatum to the Philadelphia 76ers. He doesn't want to be there. While that fact isn't exactly shocking to hear, having him openly admit it, at least to the Sixers in private, will surely expedite his exit out of Pennsylvania.

The Warriors, like most other teams, will be doing their due diligence on a potential move for the polarizing Sixers All-Star. They're one of the few teams with clear assets to form a worthy trade package without giving up anyone from their main core. However, the team is rumored to be at odds with trading for Ben Simmons.

The Warriors, according to sources, are divided on the subject. Some see great potential in having two skilled players thriving in the ball-movement principles, especially in transition. Simmons also happens to be six years younger than Green.

Others, however, believe having two non-shooters on the court is too crippling for an offense, even with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, to overcome, particularly in the postseason.

Giving up a good chunk of their assets for a talented player with a limited skill set such as Ben Simmons is definitely a huge gamble. But the Warriors are no strangers to taking risks. This probably won't be the last time they'll be mentioned in the Ben Simmons sweepstakes as training camp approaches.
