The Golden State Warriors could make some moves in the near future, as most league executives expect them to package their assets obtained through a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves in search of a fourth star, according to ESPN's Tim Bontemps.

However, some other believe Golden State could still envision Andew Wiggins and two high-ceiling prospects can make for a nice way to extend this team's championship window, considering the trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green will all be 30 and older by the start of the 2020-21 season.

“Their coaches think they can cure Wiggins,” an executive said. “If he's your fourth-best player, it's not a bad thing. But he needs to hide, because he can't do it every night.”

There's also the money angle and concerns about the tax. If the Warriors use their first-round pick, the tax mid-level exception and their full trade exception (acquired from trading Andre Iguodala last summer), they will be the most expensive team in NBA history.

Many expect the Warriors will spend heavily this summer, but there is palpable concern that flirting with the tax again could be too much, even if they managed to duck it all together this season and keep from being a repeater team.

Golden State was paying heavy tax dollars during the Kevin Durant era and that was fine with ownership as long as the rings kept coming. With no surefire feasibility that this new core could bring the same results, it would be seen as a huge gamble, rather than the investment that it was for the three years Durant played for the team.
