The Golden State Warriors are expected to be one of the biggest players in the upcoming offseason, given the array of assets at their disposal. According to reports, the Dubs might have a run at Washington Wizards All-Star guard Bradley Beal, and they will likely have the means to pull off this potential blockbuster deal.

This report comes via Grant Liffmann of NBC Sports:

“The Warriors certainly have the package to get the deal done,” NBA insider Tom Haberstroh told NBC Sports Bay Area. “But I wonder if the Wizards want to see Brad Beal next to John Wall and potentially Davis Bertans and Thomas Bryant next season.”

“The Golden State Warriors would absolutely thrive with Brad Beal,” Haberstroh added. “[He] is an amazing shooter and a guy that gets to the rack and gets free throws, kind of like James Harden, but just younger, I think that's the ceiling you have.”

For what its worth, the Wizards earlier stated their desire to keep Beal on board, and how they intend to fend off any and all suitors in the upcoming offseason. However, nothing is set in stone at this point.

The Warriors are in possession of this year's second overall pick, as well as the Minnesota Timberwolves' first-rounder for 2021 (top-three protected). If Washington was inclined to kick off their revamp this offseason, then the assets the Warriors have will certainly pique their interest.

For the Dubs, Beal would be a tremendous addition to their squad. They've already proven before that they can incorporate another superstar on their team (I.e. Kevin Durant), so assimilating Beal into the squad should not pose as a problem.
