Despite the massive improvement of his play as of late, it seems that Kelly Oubre Jr.'s stint in The Bay might be a short one. The Golden State Warriors are reportedly exploring their options for the 25-year-old swingman before Tuesday's NBA trade deadline, per Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer.

Oubre, who is set to make $14 million this season, will become an unrestricted free agent by the end of the campaign, making this the perfect time to trade him. The Warriors have had mixed results from the 6'7″ forward since giving up a first round pick to acquire him from the Oklahoma City Thunder in the wake of the Klay Thompson injury in the offseason. Looks like the Dubs do not intend to re-sign Oubre when he hits the market and would like to milk him of his value while they still can.

It remains unclear what kind of returns the Warriors are expecting for Oubre, but they would probably seek veteran players who can fit their system better and help their postseason push. Following a breakout year with the Phoenix Suns last season, big things were expected out of the Oubre and Andrew Wiggins wing duo. The former Kansas standout, however, figured in a dreadful shooting slump at the beginning of the year.

Oubre eventually got better as time passed and upped his three-point shooting to 30.2 percent, along with averages of 14.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1,1 steals in 41 games. Still, it's clear that Kelly Oubre Jr. has not met the Warriors' expectations for him this season and might be on the move again soon.
