Steve Kerr was a teammate of the great Michael Jordan in his Chicago Bulls days, but instead of being “Like Mike,” Kerr wants to be like Klay Thompson if he could turn back time.

The Golden State Warriors head coach praised his sweet-shooting two-guard, telling the Washington Post’s Tim Bontemps that Klay’s “got it all figured out.”

It isn’t entirely clear what Kerr means by Klay figuring “it” all out, but perhaps Kerr’s referring to life in general.

Thompson is one of the most chill dudes in the entire league, someone who seemingly hardly stresses about a thing in the world. He doesn’t take himself too seriously, and is capable of shrugging off embarrassing moments like botching a dunk in a country of over one billion people. And on the court, he’s essentially a 3-and-D guy for one of the best teams in history, and he seems content with that role.

Perhaps Steve Kerr sees Klay Thompson and his carefree ways, thinks about all the times in his life where he stressed himself out with something, and realizes what a waste of time and energy it all was. Instead of stressing and thinking too much about stuff, maybe we should all just loosen up, let go, and live our lives.

Maybe Kerr is actually on to something. Maybe we should all be a bit more like Klay.
