The crowd at the Chase Center in San Francisco paid its respects to the late Kobe Bryant with loud chants of ā€œKobeā€ during the dying minutes of a 116-86 rout of the Golden State Warriors. The Los Angeles Lakers, who have gotten plenty of great gestures and condolences since the passing of their late franchise icon, got it again on Thursday night with a game already way out of reach.

While Bryant never got to play at the state-of-the-art Chase Center, a lot of these fans were witness to many fearless battles between the former MVP and five-time champion, as the Warriors meet the Lakers at least four times each season as members of the Pacific Division.

Bryant had great displays of his talent at the old Oracle Arena, which went by three different names during his 20-year tenure in the league.

It was there where he went head-to-head against Antawn Jamison for a 51-point duel, there where he clinched a few of the Lakers' many playoff berths during his long career, and there where he saw the rise of a juggernaut during his last two years in the league.

Diehard Warriors fans loved to hate Bryant, a reasonable feeling against one of the best players in the NBA ā€” yet they've always had the respect factor for him, something they showed in bunches during the pre-game introductions and late in the game as the Lakers coasted to a 30-point lead.

Stay classy, Golden State.
