The Golden State Warriors and the Chase Center crowd held their breath after seeing D'Angelo Russell fall down following a scary collision with Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic.

Midway through the third quarter of the game, Russell tried to get a loose ball. However, as he bends to get the possession, he collided with Doncic. The All-Star guard went down after hitting Luka's hip face-first and stayed there for some time.

Fortunately for the Warriors and their fans, D'Lo was able to get up on his own power, though a stretcher was prepared after what seemed to be a neck injury for the young guard.

Russell then walked into the locker room to get checked. According to the latest updates, the 23-year-old guard was diagnosed with a shoulder contusion, though he has returned to the Warriors' bench.

The Warriors cannot afford another injury to their star player, especially with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson still recovering from their own health issues. It is also worth noting that Russell has missed a significant amount of games early in the season due to a right thumb sprain.

Entering the game against the Mavs, D'Lo was averaging 22.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 6.0 assists while shooting 42.3 percent from the field.
