Golden State Warriors stars DeMarcus Cousins and Kevin Durant participated in a nice game of one-on-one after the team's practice on Sunday.

The Warriors currently find themselves 20-10 overall on the season, which has them sitting atop the Western Conference standings along with the 19-9 Denver Nuggets.

But Golden State has gotten to this point without Cousins, who has yet to make his debut with the team after undergoing surgery earlier this year to repair a torn Achilles.

However, it seems that the former Kentucky star is getting closer and closer to making his return, as evidenced by this video from Anthony Slater of The Athletic:

Slater also commented on what's next for Cousins in his rehab process:

Cousins averaged 25.2 points and 12.9 rebounds per game during the 2017-18 campaign with the New Orleans Pelicans before suffering the season-ending injury.

His signing with the Warriors in the offseason gave the team yet another incredible playmaker on the roster, and once he does get back to in-game action, it'll make them even more difficult to stop on a nightly basis.

While Golden State has had some struggles at times early on, Cousins' presence in the paint will force opponents to choose how they want to guard the Warriors. And that decision won't be an easy one.

Steve Kerr's group will return to the court on Monday night to take on the Memphis Grizzlies.

After that, the Warriors should be able to create a lot of momentum with a four-game home stand after a road trip to take on the Utah Jazz Wednesday night.
