In a classy gesture, the Golden State Warriors have paid tribute to Kevin Durant, who officially signed with the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday.

In his time with the Warriors, Durant won two Finals MVPs and was the 2019 NBA All-Star game MVP.

Unfortunately, KD tore his right Achilles tendon in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. Had KD not suffered the injury, the Warriors could have won their third straight title with Durant.

In 208 regular season games with the Warriors, Kevin Durant averaged 26.0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists while shooting 52.1 percent from the field, 35.3 percent from beyond the arc and 88.5 percent from the free-throw line.

Durant also played in 48 playoff games with the Warriors. The future Hall of Famer put up 29.6 points in those contests.

Besides the video tribute, Golden State is also planning to retire Durant's No. 35 jersey.

As we all know, KD is one of the most lethal scorers in NBA history. Durant helped the Dubs establish one of the best and most exciting dynasties the league has ever seen. While the Warriors would have remained contenders even if Durant didn't join them, his arrival brought them to another level.

KD deserves nothing but respect from the Warriors, and no matter how painful it is for the Dubs to lose their best player, they still showed him nothing but love.
