It had been nine months since the Golden State Warriors played in an NBA game. That's why the Dubs were definitely excited to finally take the court for the first time since COVID-19 shut the league down back in March. Prior to Golden State's preseason outing against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday, newly-acquired forward Kelly Oubre Jr. couldn't hide his excitement as he entered the court doing the “Naruto” run.

It was definitely a shocking sight to see Oubre appear out of nowhere doing this famous run with Dubs superstar Stephen Curry leading the way.

For those who don't know, Naruto is a Japanese Manga series that also has an Anime version. The series highlights the story of a young ninja named Naruto Uzumaki. Oubre must be an avid fan of the famous character.

As for the actual game, Oubre had a pretty solid debut in his first game with the Warriors. The 6-foot-7 wing scored 10 points in a 22-minute stint as the starting small forward, while also adding four rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Despite struggling from 3-point range, making just 1-of-6 attempts, Oubre showed a lot of intensity on the defensive end. He hounded Nuggets star Jamal Murray throughout the night and even showed some flashes of playmaking ability.

Aside from Oubre's solid debut, the Warriors have to be pleased with how they played in their first preseason game, which resulted in a 107-105 win. This is especially true considering Draymond Green and James Wiseman didn't play due to COVID-19. Kent Bazemore led the Dubs with 13 points off the bench.

Despite the devastating loss of Klay Thompson, it's hard to count out a former championship team like the Dubs in their pursuit to reclaim their standing atop the NBA.
