The Brooklyn Nets have looked quite impressive early on against the hobbled Golden State Warriors on Tuesday evening, though the Western Conference franchise did show some flashes of excellence to kick-off the 2020-21 NBA regular season.

In the absence of both shooting guard Klay Thompson and power forward Draymond Green, it was Warriors newcomer and veteran NBA swingman Kelly Oubre Jr. who picked up the slack in the first quarter against the Nets.

Making his presence as a member of the Warriors known in a big way, Oubre Jr. wasted no time in slamming one home over Nets superstar forward Kevin Durant. It is safe to say that Oubre has solidified the first ā€œposter dunkā€ of the 2020-21 regular season.

With the Warriors currently without the aforementioned tandem of Thompson and Green, it will be Oubre Jr. and two-time league MVP and longtime Dubs point guard Stephen Curry making an impact to begin the latest NBA campaign. Not only that, though, but Golden State Was lucky enough to secure the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, which they used to select former Memphis Tigers center James Wiseman.

Thanks to the early absence of Green, it will be interesting to see how Wiseman acclimates himself to the fast-paced style of the NBA game.
