Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant hasn't exactly been the most popular player with the media or fans in recent years.
Ever since he joined the Warriors, people have found every little thing to complain about. In fairness, sometimes it's Durant's own doing (the burner account scandal was not a good look).
He does seem like a genuinely good guy, though. Here's the latest example:

This had to be an awesome moment for these kids. They went from just hanging out in their hotel room to getting pizza delivered to them by an NBA superstar, and Kevin Durant was cool enough to take a picture with them afterward.
This is the kind of stuff fans should be focusing on more. While Durant has been an easy target over the last few years, we should also recognize all of the positives things he has done. Just because he took what a lot of people view as “the easy way out” on the basketball court and has had some run-ins with the media, that doesn't mean he has bad character.
On the season, Durant is doing his usual balling on the court. He's averaging 27.2 points and 6.6 rebounds to go along with 5.7 assists per game. Meanwhile, his Warriors are in first place in the Western Conference with a 48-22 record. While that may not be the totally dominant record many expected, Golden State is still the clear favorite to win it all.
Respect to Kevin Durant for his ongoing terrific play on the court, as well as this gesture to this father and his sons.
