Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green and Dallas Mavericks big man Kristaps Porzingis were exchanging sweet nothings to each other late in the second quarter of their match-up on Saturday night.

And Klay Thompson wanted to get some of the smoke himself. Unfortunately, the injured Warriors sharpshooter can only do so from the sidelines while wearing street clothes.

It's clear that Thompson is really itching to get back on the court. The three-time NBA champion is currently recovering from an ACL injury that he suffered in last season's NBA Finals.

Emotions were running high at that point, with both teams going at it in a tight contest. However, the Mavs ran away with it in the third quarter after they outscored Golden State 45-24 to take control of the game.

In the end, it was KP and the Mavs who had the louder laugh, snapping the Warriors' four-game winning streak with a 141-121 road victory.

Porzingis had a solid night, scoring 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field. He also finished with seven rebounds, three assists and four blocks, while also making four 3-pointers in 26 minutes. Green, on the other hand, had 10 points, three rebounds and eight assists for the Warriors.

Mavs Slovenian superstar Luka Doncic, who recently just returned from an ankle injury, continued his breakout campaign with yet another triple-double. Last year's Rookie of the Year finished with 31 points, 12 rebounds and 15 assists. He shot 8-of-16 from the field, made five triples, and went a perfect 10-of-10 from the charity striple.

All-Star guard D'Angelo Russell led the Warriors with 35 points on 13-of-21 shooting and made a career-high nine three-pointers. Russell came out firing in the first half, scoring 30 points through the first 24 minutes — with 18 coming in the first period.

D'Lo had a little injury scare in the third quarter after running head first into Doncic, but came back to finish the contest.
