Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson fulfilled a dying fan's request to speak with him on Monday.

Lifelong Warriors fan Debbie Wright was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and was told she had anywhere between 2-6 weeks to live. Apparently, one of her final requests was a visit from Thompson, as she told Frank Sommerville of KTVU:

“I ask for nothing else … no gifts, money, or anything … just for the possibility of a visit from Mr. Thompson,” Wright wrote to Sommerville, via Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area.

The Warriors star caught wind of the request, FaceTiming with Wright and her husband, Randall, on Monday. Check out the touching moment:

The Wright's wrote back to Sommerville, thanking him for passing along the message and also sharing the above pictures:

“Greetings, Mr. Somerville! We had our video meeting with Klay this morning! It lasted about 25 minutes. Klay is really a kind and gentle soul. He even introduced his dog Rocko to my Bride!” Randall wrote, via Johnson.

Klay has always been regarded as one of the nicest players both on and off the floor, so it should come as no surprise he was willing to fulfill this request. Perhaps Golden State and the rest of the Warriors can help to honor Debbie Wright with a return to glory next year.

The Dubs are expected to reclaim their status as contenders in the Western Conference with a healthy Thompson and Stephen Curry leading the way. Thompson recently participated in the team's in-market bubble, and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said the All-Star guard looked good. That's a promising sign as Golden State looks ahead to next season.

But basketball will come in time. Life is more important, and Thompson made sure to honor Wright's dying wish on Monday.
