Matt Barnes was on the 2017 Golden State Warriors team which won the title over LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games.

However, Barnes never got his championship ring since it was locked in a room he couldn't get into at Oracle Arena after the Warriors had a special ceremony for him and his sons during the 2017-18 season.

Barnes also supposedly didn't want the ring since he felt he didn't contribute to the Dubs' championship. The former swingman appeared in 12 games in the 2017 postseason and averaged 0.8 points in 5.1 minutes per contest.

However, the Warriors wanted to give Barnes his ring, and he finally got it on Tuesday during ESPN's The Jump with Rachel Nichols and former Detroit Pistons star Chauncey Billups.

This was a terrific moment for Matt Barnes, who was also part of the “We Believe” Warriors team back in 2007. He will likely be a fan favorite in the Bay Area for the rest of his life.

Barnes finished his NBA career with averages of 8.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 929 regular-season games with the Los Angeles Clippers, Sacramento Kings, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Warriors, Phoenix Suns, Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies.

Golden State, who missed the playoffs this season and had the worst record in the NBA, continues to show why they are a first-class organization with this gesture toward Barnes.
